Today was simple. For morning work, I introduced our new writing notebooks. They loved the freedom of the writing notebooks and protested putting them away.
We read "The Very Busy Spider" and practiced retelling the story with these great booklets from Stephanie Chambers.
In math, we showed our work in shaving cream.
And in science, we read about the life cycle of birds and made these cute chicken life cycle crafts.
It was a low key and simple day--just the way we like it. We've been reading Eric Carle books and studying life cycles all week and it's been awesome. Tomorrow, we're reading A House for Hermit Crab, and learning about frog life cycles.
What are y'all up to this week?
